Bike type: Enduro
Location: Girona (Spain)

Dates: All year
You will be hosted in Girona, a medium size city with a big offer in culture, gastronomy and leisure. It has a very well connected airport at only 10 minutes of the downtown. In this enduro trip we will have limited time to ride so we will go to the core of our trails showcase.
We will go ride to our mini-Whistler. This location is a dream for any enduro montain bike rider. It is not strange to find an Enduro World Series team preparing the season here. First time riding here we didn't know who worked on the trails but we gived thanks to them. This is a magic place, sometimes you won't believe what are you seeing. It reminds the scenery of the "Planet of the Apes" film. The mountain is full of young pine trees and enormous round rocks that sometimes you will ride around and some others you must ride over. Ancient vineyard terraces rounded by the past of time will make you wonder "what's doing a pump track in the middle of the forest?". About 21 trails with a name and some others unnamed. Uphills are mild and descents are not steep enough to be difficult but easy is not the word. The word is fun. A good place to start your enduro mtb holidays and setting up the bike and the soul. Trails over the sea. You will be smelling the salt and watching one of the best Costa Brava landscapes in a 20km round area with no population. This is the biggest almost virgin coastal area of Catalonia. Most of the trails were built by charcoal manufacturers long time ago and now became a technical single-track with Moab-style slick rock passes starring the routes.
During the rides you will see several ancient monasteries and churches and you could figure that such a remote place was full of history and not so lonely in the past. VIEW IMAGES..
We are at the base of the Pyrennes, slopes are higher and you will see the transition between Mediterranean and Continental forest. We ride across the mountain Massif of Salines touching the French border at the top. This is one of the training playgrounds of mountain bike celebrity Cedric Gracia and Enduro World Series vice-champion Damien Oton. Natural trails, not very rough, combined with challenging rocky sections. Long uphills and long descents and a very good place to recover energies in the nearest town of Macanet. PLAY VIDEO.
